In England, for the first time in 27 years, the club was expelled from the Football League.

One of England’s oldest football clubs, Bury, founded in 1885, was expelled from the Football League.

“Bery” faced severe financial difficulties and could not find a new buyer. The deal with C&N Sporting Risk broke just a few hours before the deadline, informs the BBC.

The exclusion of the club from the Football League of England happened for the first time since 1992.

In League 1, the third-ranking English division, 23 teams will continue to compete in the 2019/20 season. Instead of four clubs in the fourth division, only three will drop.
