Donald Trump will pull 5,000 US soldiers out of Afghanistan

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the US would withdraw over 5,000 US troops from Afghanistan and then decide on further reductions in America’s most extended war history.

At the same moment, Trump’s remarks happen that the U.S. representative is in his ninth round of Taliban talks to discover an alternative to the nearly 18-year-old dispute. The president said an arrangement was “advancing” by the United States, but the result went unsure.

Trump did not give details of the retirement plans. The Pentagon has planned to remove up to half of that country’s 14,000 U.S. soldiers, but the Taliban intends all U.S. and NATO forces to retreat.

If terrorist groups from Afghanistan invaded the U.S. again, “we’d come back with a power like the one they’ve never seen before,” Trump said. But then he added: “I’m not expecting this to occur.”
