Exo4 Candiac line interrupted

This Monday the exo4 Candiac line will be disrupted because of demonstrations against the Coastal GasLink pipeline project.

In a press release, Exo confirmed that this line stop will be successful for an indefinite period of time.

It was the railway’s creator, Canadian Pacific Railway (CP), who prohibited commuter trains from running on its tracks.

At the Candiac, Delson, Saint-Constant, and Sainte-Catherine stations, the transit corporation runs about thirty buses to carry consumers to the Mansfield airport.

Depending on the boarding point and the time of departure the journey time will be 25 to 55 minutes.

For customers of LaSalle and Du Canal stations, Exo requests to use the transport network of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) to reach a metro station.

Users of the Montreal-West and Vendôme train stations can also use the STM’s services or fall back on Exo 1 or 2 lines.

Protesters standing near CP rails are campaigning against the GasLink project in British Columbia, which is to cross the Wet’suwet’en Indigenous territory without having been approved by community leaders.

Since January, demonstrations have been organized across the country.
