Coronavirus outbreak reported in a four-year-old girl in Madrid. On a holiday to Italy, the family’s father would have contracted the disease and contaminated his wife and daughter

A girl of only four years has tested positive for coronavirus in Madrid after her father had contracted the disease after a trip to Bergamo (Italy) in February. The man would have infected his wife and daughter, so they consider it an imported case as confirmed by the General Directorate of Public Health. It is the first infected child in our country.

The girl is currently “asymptomatic” and is isolated from her parents in “home and evolving well.”

Besides, two students from the Instituto de Empresa who had traveled to Italy and a worker from the Francisco de Vitoria University have also been infected by a coronavirus, as confirmed by both centers. Of the over 150 cases registered in Spain, it raises at least 56 those infected by a coronavirus in the Community of Madrid.
