According to the FIFA website, the trial chamber of the International Football Federation’s Independent Committee (FIFA) Ethics has for eternity banned Nigeria’s previous head coach Samson Siasia for corruption.
As stated, Siasia was discovered capable of accepting bribes in exchange for affecting the result of some matches. The formal trial against Siasia started on February 2019 and was focused on a wide-ranging inquiry into efforts to alter match outcomes, involving the Singaporean Wilson Raj Perumal.
The coach is noted to be prohibited from engaging in any football exercise for lives, both domestic and abroad. Moreover, 50 thousand Swiss francs (about 46 thousand euros) were paid to the Nigerian. On Friday, the penalty came into impact.
In 2010-2011 and 2016, Siasia worked as Nigeria National Team Head Coach.
