PM Imran Khan rejects IMF pressure: power, gas, petrol prices

Prime Minister Imran Khan stepped down to reduce the prices of petroleum products. He also refused to accept price-reducing advice.
According to government sources, the IMF and the Ministry of Finance wanted to raise the prices of petrol, electricity, and gas. The Prime Minister dismissed the pressure from the IMF and the Finance Ministry and gave direct instructions for the reduction in prices of petroleum products.
According to sources, there were concerns about the mini-budget as a result of agreements with the IMF. With the intervention of the Prime Minister, the mini-budget not allowed.
